The fair focuses on the application areas Transportation, Building & Construction, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering etc.
Since the first ALUMINIUM was held in 1997, the fair has taken a steady upward course. Visitor numbers almost tripled since it was first held: with more than 13,500 trade visitors from 40 nations at the previous event, ALUMINIUM is the largest specialised fair for the aluminium industry worldwide. For the key players of the industry, ALUMINIUM is a must. With the support of the partner Gesamtverband der Aluminiumindustrie e.V. (GDA) and the European partner EAA the fair trade has become part of the aluminium world. The fact that companies from all regions of the worl d find their way to Essen is proof that ALUMINIUM has developed into a central element of the international aluminium community. Every third trade visitor now comes from abroad, a total of 79 nations are represented in Essen.
